Bobby Trench (Denzel Washington) and Marcus Stigman (Mark Wahlberg) have had to work together against their will for 12 months – to take down a drug cartel. They distrust one another just as much as the criminals they are assigned to catch. When their attempt to infiltrate a Mexican drug ring goes wrong, Trench and Stigman are burned by their superiors. Now they can only count on each other as they are hunted down.

Based on the graphic novel by Steven Grant. There is plenty of action, but Kormákur's view of the world is so cold that it's hard to find sympathy for the two main characters. Jokes are drowned out by cynicism: instead of looking critically at a society in which violence is trivialized, 2 Guns itself trivializes violence.
